Leaks are a common problem in our world today. Every homeowner must have had or at least heard of this nightmare. Leaks are annoying in so many aspects. Besides building mold that causes the smell, moisture, and disgusting sight, leaks can cause significant damage to the structure of the house. That’s why throughout this article, we will talk more about types of leaks, how leak detection can help, and how you can try to detect it yourself.
These leaks are sneaky. So, to know or identify these, you must be very careful. To avoid any late notices with a basement leak, you would have to check the surrounding area after any harsh rainfall. If you see any water around or there is water that flows inside the walls, then this can be a good indicator to call a professional plumbing service right away before the leak causes damage to the structure of the house. Slab leaks are a little harder to detect. To know that you have a slab leak, then you would have to notice a decrease in water pressure, feel warm areas on the floor, and smell a mustiness. Then it may be time to get your leak detection in Sewickley today.
Since we use the kitchen and toilet every day, any person can easily identify anything odd in those areas. However, it may just be that we weren’t careful so we need to know what can be odd behavior in these areas. For toilet leaks, if after flushing there is a water flow that doesn’t easily stop or there is a constant dripping this may require a water leak repair. For kitchen sink leaks, feeling moisture or hearing a tap are the major indicators. If you face these problems then call a Sewickley leak detection service today.
The easiest way to know you have a leak without any effort is to check the water bill. If you get an unusually high water bill, then this can be a great indicator. Of course, there are some other ways of checking if you have a water leak. For example, if you look around the room and you notice any must or its smell, see a lot of bubbles in the walls, or hear a water flowing sound, then most likely you have a leak. The next step is to find a reliable and professional plumbing service as soon as possible.

Matt was very respectful and professional. He was very thorough in his explanations of work being done and the work he performed. The workmanship was very clean and showed his knowledge and care. I am very satisfied with his performance and will be requesting him again for future services! If only all workers showed their pride in their work and job like he did.
I'm very impressed with Mr. Rooter. I was smelling a small amount of gas randomly throughout my kitchen area. The office answered my call and said they would put me on the schedule for the same day and someone would call later with a specific time. The office called back a few hours later and said a technician would be there within the hour. The technician they sent was named Ryan and he could not have been any better. Friendly from the moment I opened the door and informative throughout the process. He thoroughly tested the whole area for gas and finally determined the leak was coming from a connection point at the wall. He discussed all of my options and pricing before he did any of the work. In the end, he corrected the leak and gave me further quotes for work we may want to consider in the future. Ryan was not pushy in any way and I agreed with his recommendations during the repair. He also worked until very late in the evening to make sure it was done right. Much appreciated and I will definitely use Mr. Rooter for my future plumbing needs.
Adam did an amazing job helping us get a new shut off valve for our refrigerator and repairing some piping behind it. He was professional, very informed, friendly and helpful. He was very efficient and got the repair done in a timely manner while also doing the job well. We appreciated Adam's service very much!
